Our mission

Movement-health advice is fragmented. Allium synthesises it.

— Vol. 01 · 2026

Allium is the work of a small team that reads widely on the key dimensions of movement health and synthesizes across all of it. We pull from pain science, Eastern medicine, strength and conditioning, somatic practice, and more.

Most movement-health advice is fragmented and contradictory. Allium reads across physical therapy, pain science, and Eastern medicine to give you a synthesised starting point — specific to what your body is actually showing.

“The honest answer almost always involves both Western and Eastern frameworks, read side by side.”

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What is a movement assessment?
A movement assessment analyses how your body moves through fundamental patterns — squatting, reaching overhead, single-leg balance — to identify restrictions, asymmetries, and compensations. Allium uses your phone camera and MediaPipe pose detection to score your movement, then combines that data with your health history to produce a personalised recommendation.
How accurate is 2D pose analysis?
2D pose analysis from a single camera angle captures gross movement patterns reliably — squat depth, lateral drift, shoulder range — but cannot measure joint angles with the precision of a clinical 3D motion capture system. Allium uses it as a screening tool, not a diagnostic one. It identifies patterns worth investigating, not definitive diagnoses.
What modalities does Allium cover?
Allium covers 11 movement-health modalities: physical therapy, acupuncture, qi gong, strength training, massage therapy, mobility and stretching, dry needling, cold therapy, cupping, red light therapy, and sauna. Each is scored based on your movement data, regions of concern, and goals.
Is Allium a medical service?
No. Allium provides educational content and personalised synthesis, not medical advice. The assessment identifies movement patterns and suggests modalities to explore — it does not diagnose conditions or replace a licensed clinician.
