# Allium > Allium is a movement-health assessment tool. It takes in your body focus areas, movement history, and short videos of key movements, then produces a personalised assessment — which modalities to explore, why, and curated video resources to get started. ## What Allium does Allium combines a structured intake (body regions, modalities tried, goal) with computer-vision movement analysis (shoulder raise, squat) to generate a personalised movement assessment. The assessment produces a qualitative score (Moving well / Some patterns to watch / Worth addressing), plain-English pattern observations, and prioritised starting points across modalities like physical therapy, strength training, acupuncture, and qi gong. Curated video resources from vetted creators are matched to the person's profile. The product is free. No account required beyond a name and email at [alliumhealth.io/get-started](https://alliumhealth.io/get-started.html). ## Modality guides Allium publishes evidence-informed guides on movement-health modalities. Each guide covers indications, contraindications, mechanisms (Western and Eastern where applicable), and practical details. - [Acupuncture](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/acupuncture/) — 2,500-year-old needle practice, research-backed for chronic pain and stress regulation - [Physical Therapy](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/physical-therapy/) — clinical movement assessment and restoration; the most evidence-supported first step for mechanical complaints - [Qi Gong](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/qi-gong/) — slow movement, breath, and awareness from TCM; accessible entry point to Eastern movement practice - [Strength Training](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/strength-training/) — progressive resistance exercise; broadest evidence base for injury prevention and long-term function - [Massage Therapy](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/massage/) — manual soft-tissue therapy for recovery, tension, and nervous system regulation - [Mobility & Stretching](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/mobility/) — active range-of-motion training; why passive stretching has limited transfer - [Cupping](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/cupping/) — suction-based soft-tissue decompression from TCM and hijama traditions - [Dry Needling](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/dry-needling/) — Western trigger-point needling for myofascial pain and referred patterns - [Cold Therapy](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/cold-therapy/) — deliberate cold exposure for recovery, neuroendocrine response, and stress resilience - [Red Light Therapy](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/red-light/) — photobiomodulation for cellular energy, tissue repair, and recovery - [Sauna](https://alliumhealth.io/modalities/sauna/) — heat exposure for cardiovascular health, recovery, and longevity ## Approach - Western and Eastern frameworks treated with equal rigour — no hierarchy between them - Editorial voice: specific, measured. No generic wellness copy. - Video library curated by body region, goal, modality, and difficulty — deterministic matching - Movement analysis via MediaPipe pose estimation (2D single-camera, not clinical motion capture) - Modality recommendations driven by a deterministic scoring engine before any LLM call ## Contact Founder: Fion Lam — fion@alliumhealth.io
